RateHarbor is written and edited by a former journalist who spent nearly a decade in newsroom leadership, directing daily breaking-news coverage for a major national news network across newsrooms on three continents.

After leaving journalism, they spent several years in communications roles inside fintech and financial-data companies, writing about credit, payments, and lending products for people outside the industry.

RateHarbor applies the same standard: verify claims against primary sources, disclose how the site is compensated, and never let that compensation shape what gets written.
